What is openvix ?

openvix is a community based Opensource project focused on developing user friendly, easy to use Linux Enigma 2 set top box software. OpenVIX is created by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, and characterised by:

• Built in Electronic Program Guide (EPG) for all major European Providers.
• QuickEPG, quickly view whats on, navigate channels and view the Quick Electronic Program Guide.
• Recording Timers and Autotimers, easily set timers from EPG guide or set Autotimers to record complete show series.
• Client Mode available in Open ViX build 5.0.013 onwards…

 How to install OSCAM-icam on open vix?

Download software:

Winscp for  WINDOWS 10, WINDOWS 11

Install OSCam on openvix

Installing the OSCAM

• Menu –> Plugins
• Press GREEN BUTTON to download plugins
• Select softcams and press OK
• Choose the latest OSCAM version OSCAM 11420 or another version
• choose YES to confirm installation
• The installation will take some seconds, please wait.
• after installation press Exit

 Copy of the OSCam subscription

• Launch WINSCP in the home window
• File protocol: FTP
• Hot name: 192.168.1.100 (ip address of your VU+ )
• User name: root
• Password: “empty” by default the root password in Openvix is empty (no password)
• After clicking on Login
• Copy subscription files from your PC to the /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam path of your receiver.
• oscam.server,osam.conf

Starting oscam

• Press the blue button, next choose Softcam Manager
• Choose oscam icam
• Presse BLUE BUTTON to enable startup of OSCAM if receiver reboot
• After press GREEN BUTTON to start OSCAM
• Please wait while starting OSCAM
